Practice meaningful inpatient medicine in one of the most distinctive healthcare environments in the country, where clinical complexity, professional autonomy, and a supportive team come together. This Hospitalist opportunity places you at a statewide tertiary referral center serving Alaska Native and American Indian patients from communities throughout Alaska, including remote regions accessible only by air. Physicians encounter a fascinating range of medical conditions, often caring for patients with advanced disease processes and unique clinical presentations that require thoughtful, comprehensive care. The program emphasizes collaboration, transparent communication, and physician involvement in clinical operations, creating an environment where your judgment and contributions are valued. With continued institutional investment, including a planned inpatient tower adding more than 30 Internal Medicine beds by 2029, the organization is preparing for sustained growth. Whether you’re an experienced Hospitalist or a graduating Internal Medicine resident, this opportunity offers the chance to practice broad-scope medicine while making a meaningful impact on patients across Alaska.
