Hematology/Oncology Locums – SE Kentucky | 2–3 Weeks/Month

Location: Southeastern Kentucky ~ 90 miles from Knoxville TN or Lexington, KY
Duration: January 2027 – December 2027
Schedule: Clinic Monday-Friday from 8:00am-4:30pm; 2-3 weeks/month
Shift: 8:00a-4:30p
Call: Tuesday-Tuesday, including weekends. Mostly phone calls with questions; callbacks to the hospital are very rate
Scope of practice: Adult Hematology-Oncology, typically more hematology. Outpatient and inpatient, with hospital rounding supported by a midlevel.
Volume: 15-22 ppd. 15–20 new Hem/Onc consults per week. Inpatient rounding about 1–2 hours per day depending on load
EMR: EPIC
Group Support: 3 clinic RNs, 5 MAs, 3 NPs, 3 front office staff, a clinic pharmacist, and 1 referral coordinator
Hospital: 263-bed acute care hospital
Requirements: Board certified or truly board eligible (ABIM Hematology, Oncology, or Internal Medicine); active Kentucky license or IMLC license; ACLS and BLS
