OB/GYN Locum Tenens Physician – Near Fresno, CA

Position Overview

We are seeking a Board Certified (BC) or Board Eligible (BE) OB/GYN Physician for a lucrative locum tenens opportunity near Fresno, CA. This position offers exceptional flexibility, allowing you to work anywhere from 1 to 4 weeks per month. You will support a high-functioning clinical team at a premier 613-bed, Level III trauma center.

Schedule & Shift Details

• Clinic Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

• Flexibility: 1 to 4 weeks per month accepted (Tailor to your availability)

• Call Schedule: 1–2x per week, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM

• Call Coverage Details: Group patients only. Unassigned patients are managed entirely by an in-house laborist group.

Clinical Scope & Responsibilities

• Clinic Focus: Primarily prenatal and postnatal OB care, supplemented by general GYN women’s health.

• Volume: Affiliated with a high-volume facility averaging 4,500 annual deliveries (shared across three groups).

• Call Duties:

  • Perform GYN surgeries for Certified Nurse-Midwives (CNM). Note: No supervision of routine deliveries is required.

  • Manage group patients until the primary physician arrives.

  • Handle emergent, time-sensitive deliveries for group patients.

• Electronic Medical Records (EMR): Cerner

• Anesthesia Support: Dedicated, in-house MDA/CRNA support available 24/7.

Requirements

• Education/Certification: Board Certified or Board Eligible (if recently trained) in Obstetrics and Gynecology.

• Licensure: Active and unrestricted California Medical License.

• Availability: Commitment to a multi-month assignment starting summer 2026.
