Practice 100% Interventional Radiology without mandatory diagnostic reading competing for your time. Join a high-demand, full-spectrum IR program where strong APP support allows physicians to spend the majority of their day performing procedures across a broad vascular, nonvascular and interventional oncology practice. 

The department is recruiting another permanent IR physician to strengthen the team, reduce locums reliance and support an established procedural volume of approximately 6,200 cases annually. Physicians are encouraged to bring new techniques, technology and ideas to the program, with an existing team willing to proctor and support development of specific skills when appropriate. 

Stroke thrombectomy capability is an important component of this search. Ideally, the incoming physician will already be independently performing basic stroke thrombectomy cases. Physicians with previous stroke training who are willing to proctor/re-establish their skills in-house will also be considered. Neuro-interventional trained physicians are welcome, with an anticipated practice mix of approximately 20% neuro / 80% general IR. 

Position, Compensation & Organization 

• 100% Interventional Radiology with no mandatory Diagnostic Radiology reading 
• $800,000 compensation floor for 2 years for physicians independently performing stroke thrombectomy 
• $750,000 compensation floor for 2 years for physicians developing/re-establishing stroke capability, with consideration for an increase to $800K once independently performing stroke thrombectomies 
• Uncapped personally performed wRVU upside above the applicable compensation floor 
• $200,000 retention incentive tied to remaining 1.0 FTE for 4 years 
• 12 weeks away annually, including 10 CME days 
• $1,000/night additional compensation for stroke call 
• Approximately 6,200 IR procedures annually and 20–30 procedures per day 
• Full-spectrum IR including vascular/endovascular, PAD, complex venous, TIPS, embolization, ablation and interventional oncology 
• Large-vessel stroke thrombectomy incorporated into the practice 
• 4 dedicated IR APPs supporting clinic, consults, triage, inpatient rounding and follow-up 
• 1:4 home call, generally one week at a time, with approximately 2–3 overnight call-ins during a call week 
• 2 dedicated IR suites, dedicated CT scanner and 2 ultrasound procedure spaces 
• 24/7 anesthesia support with no identified procedural turf conflicts 
• $10,000 relocation assistance and $5,000 CME allowance 
• 401(k) employer match, malpractice with tail coverage, PSLF eligibility and covered license/DEA renewals
