California – General Surgery (Locum Tenens Hire) Near Los Angeles!

This General Surgery Locum Tenens position is located in Southern California

Location: Near Los Angeles (Inquire for specific Hospital) 
Duration: Start as soon as credentialed (target November 2026) – February 2027 (option to extend)
Reason for coverage: supplemental coverage
Schedule: 1 week per month – 5-7 day consecutive blocks
Shift: Monday-Sunday, 7a-5p *10 hour shifts. Friday may include post-discharge clinic 8a-12p
Call: Required 24-hr. call on Monday, Wednesday, & Saturday, 7a-7a
Patient volume: 20-30 patients per day, 6-10 consults per day, 2-3 surgeries
Scope: General Surgery – rounding, consults, and perform surgeries
EMR: Cerner
Hospital: 150 Bed Hospital 
Group/support: Will working with their internal general surgeons and team
Requirements (boards, license): Board Certified, Active California License and DEA
