The incoming physician must be trained in General Urology and may incorporate robotics, pelvic floor care, infertility, or other areas of interest into the practice. Residents take first call within a manageable 1:6 call rotation, creating additional clinical support and opportunities to teach in a community-based academic setting. Optional research is available for physicians interested in expanding their academic involvement without the bureaucracy of a large university system. An experienced academic Urologist may also be considered for the Program Director opportunity, offering the chance to help guide a growing ACGME-accredited residency while maintaining an active clinical practice.
