The locum tenens Nocturnist opportunity in Southern California
Location: Orange County, CA
Specialty: Internal Medicine, Nocturnist
Duration: August – March (potential to extend)
Schedule: 6-12 shifts per month (must be available for at least 5 shifts per month to be considered)
Shift: Monday – Sunday, 7p-7a (days are not an option at this time)
Call: none
Scope of practice: nocturnist
on-site evaluation, management, and treatment of adult patients admitted to the hospital,
Facilitate all admissions:
-Responsible for direct admissions from clinics and outside hospitals.
-Complete admissions from ETC by revaluating patients and completing admit orders.
-You will be part of the team (ICU Physician, Rapid Response Nurse Practitioner) that will respond to all Code Blue (CB) & Rapid Response (RR).
-You will respond promptly to all pages and calls unless you manage CB/RR.
EMR: EPIC
Hospital: 225 total beds; 18 bed ICU; 20 ETC beds
Requirements (boards): BC in Internal Medicine w/California license. Drive in provider from Southern CA. Clean NPDB. Epic experience. Currently doing or has done nocturnist work in the last 12 months.
