The Locum Tenens Neurology Position in New Mexico….
Location: New Mexico – Inquire for specific location
Duration: July 2025 and ongoing
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8a-5pm (prefers 4+ weeks per month, may consider 2+ weeks)
Call: N/A
Patient volume:
- The NP sees new patient in 60 minutes and follow ups in 30 minutes.
- Physicians have 40 minute new patient visits and 20 minute follow up visits.
- 10-12 patients seen daily for NPs,
- 12-16 patients seen daily for MDs.
The expectation is 40 hours for full time to include 34 patient facing hours with 6 hours of administrative time per week for both NP and MDs
Scope: Consult and treatment for Parkinson’s disease, Huntington’s disease, epilepsy, tremors, amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), Multiple Sclerosis (MS), Tic and Tourette syndrome, Migraine, Headache, Stroke, Dementia. Offer botulinum toxin injections for the treatments of dystonia, spasticity, and chronic migraine. Provider needs to be comfortable with diagnostic studies or nerve conduction and EMG.
EMR: EPIC
Requirements (boards, license): MD must be BC/BE in Neurology, APP must have clinical experience in a Neurology outpatient practice. NM license is a plus but not required.
