• Dr. Paul White- OBGYN –Dr. Paul White is board-certified through the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He graduated from Point Loma Nazarene University in San Diego, where he grew up, and moved to Mexico to attend medical school. Dr. White graduated from Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara, which is a private university in the Mexican state of Jalisco. He then moved to New York and graduated from New York Medical College. Dr. White wanted to become a doctor because he loves caring for people. He has a background in surgery, which he enjoys. He mostly specializes in minimally invasive gynecologic and pelvic floor reconstructive procedures. He became interested in obstetrics while doing his internship at SIUM Family Practice. Dr. White completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at UMDNJ New Jersey Medical School. “I enjoy primary care, but I also like that I get to deliver babies,” he says. Dr. White moved to the Central Valley from New York for his family. He is a single father to a 3-year-old son. Dr. White says he enjoys the warmer climate in the Central Valley, and the fact that the area is rural and suburban, but close to the city “I found that I also missed working with the Latino community,” he says. Dr. White is fluent in Spanish and Portuguese. His outside interests are hiking, biking, swimming, skiing and surfing.

  • Dr. Alexis Mayhew- OBGYN: When Alexis Mayhew was 13, she accompanied a Michigan youth team to the Dominican Republic on Christmas to assist doctors and optometrists on a medical mission. That experience sparked her passion for medicine. Dr. Mayhew, an OB-GYN, now cares for patients at Adventist Health Medical Office – Reedley Women’s Health. She has an Associate of Science in Arts and Sciences from Kalamazoo Valley Community College, a Bachelor of Science from Western Michigan University and a medical degree from Loma Linda University School of Medicine. Her OB-GYN residency was completed at Riverside Regional Medical Center in Newport News, Va. “Obstetrics patients tend to be the happiest in the hospital,” says Dr. Mayhew. “I love that it’s the only surgery that ends with you getting a baby.” Dr. Mayhew is married and has a child of her own. She’s looking forward to helping women with pregnancy issues that she wishes she had help with when she was expecting. ABOG- Active Candidate
