Job Description

New Neurosurgery opportunity in beautiful Alaska below. You do not need an Alaska license for this position, all you need is an active license in any other state to be eligible.  If you are looking for a different location or type of locums assignment, please let me know where or what would be a better fit via email.  

Position Details:

  • Dates: December 2-8, 2024; December 20, 2024 – January 5, 2025 (2025 schedule to be released soon, expect 1-2 open weeks/month)
  • Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM (Clinic/OR)
  • Shift: 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM
  • Call: 24-hour trauma call Mon-Sun
  • Patient Volume: 250 clinic visits per month; ~20 OR cases
  • Scope: Trauma call; Leica OR scope
  • EMR: Cerner
  • Hospital: Level 2 Trauma Center
  • Support Team: 2 RNs, 3 schedulers
  • Requirements: Board certification in Neurological Surgery (ABNS)
